Hello my name is Gaye. My husband Eric and I live on the outskirts of Palmerston North; we have a wonderful piece of land on which we live, and share with our Alpaca's and various other animals as well as our Ragdolls.

We first became involved in Ragdolls in 1997. Eric was visiting with people in town when he first encountered the antics of the Ragdoll. This half grown kitten was into everything, talking to him and following him around; this little kitten was all over him like a rash. He was very impressed, and while explaining to me about the kitten, on his arrival home, you would have thought he was talking about a little 3 year old toddler.

His enthusiasm, about the kitten he had met, soon had my curiosity aroused. I managed to find a book and a few articles about this breed and endeavoured to find a Ragdoll kitten. While we were waiting for our pet kitten to come along, we had plenty of time to research the internet and many web sites and it was during this time we realised that it wasn't just a pet we wanted, our hearts had been stolen and we knew we wanted to be surrounded by these wonderful cats, and share them with others.

Finally our first kitten arrived. This Kitten we called Hagen, and he came everywhere with us. He soon was the most spoilt kitten you could imagine. Hagen didn't take long to realise that he ruled the roost and soon knew the house was his, and our bed his bed and actually everything else was his. Today he is still the king, but now of the cattery.

Once you own a Ragdoll you soon learn that, like the Alpaca, one is never enough! We ordered three lovely little girls to complete our family, or so we thought. We have since imported four more cats from Australia and of course by the time you keep a few of your own little kitties, the family keeps on growing!

Ragaffairo Ragdolls is committed to the breed; we are New Zealand Cat Fancy Inc (NZCF) Registered Breeders, and a foundation Member of the NZ Ragdoll Breeders' Alliance (NZ-RBA).

We have both Kittens, and Retirees from our breeding program, available to be re-homed.
